PAUL – JOSEPH FIENNES
After several successful years in British theater, Joseph Fiennes first appeared on film in 1996’s Stealing Beauty, co-starring Liv Tyler. In 1998, Fiennes rose to international fame in the role of William Shakespeare opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in the Academy Award® winning Shakespeare in Love. That same year, he played Sir Robert Dudlley opposite Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth. Following these achievements, Fiennes turned down a 5-picture deal from a major studio and withdrew from mainstream cinema. Instead, he chose to return to the theater, most recently playing George in the Comedy Theatre’s Epitaph for George Dillon. He remains highly selective of his work and has famously turned down major film productions in order to appear on stage.
His recent film credits include Billy August’s Goodbye Bafana with Dennis Haysbert, Finn Taylor’s The Darwin Awards with Winona Ryder, and Ryan Murphy’s Running With Scissors with Annette Bening, Gwyneth Paltrow, Brian Cox, and Evan Rachel Wood. Fiennes will next be seen in the critically acclaimed Rupert Wyatt film, The Escapist.
LIZ – ELIZABETH REASER
A Julliard School graduate, Reaser has quickly emerged as one of the most promising actresses in Hollywood. In October 2004, Interview magazine hailed her as one of the “14 To Be” emerging creative women. In 2006, she starred in the romantic comedy Puccini for Beginners, directed and written by Maria Maggenti. In 2007, Reaser was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award as “Best Female Lead” for her work in the film Sweet Land. That same year, she appeared on Grey’s Anatomy in a recurring guest role as an unidentified pregnant woman suffering from amnesia after being severely injured in a ferry accident. This portrayal earned her a nomination for an Emmy Award.
Reaser was the lead on CBS’ The Ex List, playing a woman who must explore all of her past relationships after a psychic tells her she has already dated her future husband. She can be seen in Catherine Hardwicke’s much anticipated film, Twilight, based on the #1 Best Selling New York Times series by Stephanie Meyer.
JEFF – JUSTIN KIRK
Kirk currently stars as Andy Botwin on the Showtime television series Weeds alongside Elizabeth Perkins and Mary-Louise Parker. It is a role that has earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (2007). Kirk is also known for playing the character Prior Walter in Mike Nichols’ screen adaptation of Angels in America, for which he received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Mini-Series. Kirk’s other films include Chapter Zero, The Eden Myth, and Call o’ the Glen. In 2006, he joined Elizabeth Reaser in the romantic comedy, Puccini for Beginners.
Originally a stage actor, Kirk landed on Broadway in the play Any Given Day soon after his completion of NYC’s Circle in the Square conservatory program. In 1997, he appeared in Love! Valour! Compassion!, winning an Obie Award for Distinguished Performance in the Ensemble. In addition, Kirk also won the Back Stage West Garland Award for Outstanding Performance for his role of a piano prodigy in Old Wicked Songs.
MOM – MARY TYLER MOORE
Mary Tyler Moore is an Academy Award-nominated American actress and comedian, perhaps best known for The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977), in which she starred as Mary Richards, a 30-something single woman who worked as a news producer at WJM-TV in Minneapolis, and for her role as Laura Petrie, wife of television comedy writer Rob Petrie (played by Dick Van Dyke) on The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966). Moore played leading roles in two of the most fondly remembered classic comedy series, making a tremendous impact on television over two decades.
She has also appeared in various films over the years. Her best-remembered performance came in 1980s Ordinary People, which garnered her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Moore’s subsequent feature film credits include Six Weeks, Just Between Friends, Flirting with Disaster, Labor Pains, Cheats, and more. In recent years, Moore has returned to her primetime television roots. In 2006, she appeared on multiple episodes of That 70’s Show. Most recently, she appeared on NBC’s Lipstick Jungle playing Brook Shields’ mother.
SUZANNE – MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG
Trachtenberg started out as a child actress on such television shows as All My Children and The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Her film career began in 1996 with the lead role in Harriet the Spy. She continued to work steadily, and in 1999 played alongside Matthew Broderick in Inspector Gadget. In 2000, Trachtenberg took up the role of Dawn Summers in the cult favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She remained in the role until the show ended in 2003. After Buffy, she returned to film with 2004’s EuroTrip, and Greg Araki’s Mysterious Skin. That same year she scored a recurring role in the HBO series Six Feet Under as Celeste, a spoiled pop star for whom Keith Charles serves as a bodyguard.
Trachtenberg continues to transition easily between television and film. In 2005, she starred in Walt Disney Pictures’ Ice Princess and followed that up with guest spots on House MD and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Most recently, Trachtenberg could be seen as Georgina Sparks on the hit WB show Gossip Girl.
